We has dinner here late on a Friday night. Ordered braised pork belly; aubergine with sichuan & a small serving of plain rice. Serving size is generous. 2 dishes more than enough for the 2 of us. Pork belly was tender & gelatinous. Plenty of star anise, cinnamon flavour. Aubergine was crispy with sichuan Chili throughout the dish. As assured by the owner, the aubergine only had a hint of heat from the Chili's. So good, we had dinner at B & B again on our 2nd night in Paris. We ordered pork bone & Chinese sauerkraut soup: assorted veg with soy sauce; small bowl of rice. Soup actually had sweet potato noodles. Veg had sichuan Chili's, peanuts, cucumber & wood ear fungus. A delicious healthy meal for a change as nothing was fried. Husband said it was just like the pork bones soup I make back home in Australia. Very satisfying, delicious meals on both nights, served by the most friendly owner/ manager. Affordable, generous servings. The restaurant was very busy on the second night as we dined there earlier in the night...a continuous stream of people coming in to dine. Well worth your visit here for genuine, northern Chinese cuisine in a warm, welcoming restaurant, where the food is delicious, affordable & servings are generous.
